My 6 (nearly 7) year old son has been writing his journal for the past two months. We have noticed a real change in himself; he’s more chatty, more open, and most wonderfully of all, asking for hugs. This is the boy who was born independent, who is very loving but not remotely tactile and who declares his love on paper, not in person. I honestly believe the journal is connecting us and heightening his awareness of his feelings. Thank you.

My daughter, 9, loves this and so do I. She does hers every evening, we do it together, i copy the quote into my journal, do the 3 best things, answer the questions, draw the emojis... i want her to see that i believe it to be valuable and that we can do it together - a good way to connect and spend some time together before bedtime. It is helping her find a bit more positive perspective I hope. That it requires short and simple answers is definitely a strength. But it is deceptively thought provoking.

I bought the Journal about 3 weeks ago. My 7 year old son is very shy and started getting more and more anxious. The journal is already having a profound impact. He is suddenly a lot more confident, his teacher noticed a big difference in him, participating and sharing his ideas in class. We love the illustrations, the inspirational quotes and the variety. This high quality book is beautifully designed with a soft moleskin cover. I think every child should have this Journal.

This Journal is fantastic, I took for granted that my 8 year old daughter would be able to automatically see what was good each day, how wrong I was, i was shocked to see how hard she found it at first to pick her top 3 things for the day, even when we had spent the day having so much fun....as the days have gone on she is now beginning to write her top 3 things without me prompting her, I have always noticed my daughter is a worrier and a little anxious at times but did not realise how focused she could be in her mind on negatives, this Journal has been such a positive tool and has opened up so many great conversations between myself and my daughter that we would not likely of had without filling out the journal. I highly recommend and so happy I purchased, so worth every cent when you have such positive outcomes 💖

I recently started this book with my 10 year old son and it is wonderful. He's not a worrier, doesn't have anxiety and is a very happy child so it would be easy to think he doesn't need a book like this. The reason I bought it though is that I want him to stay like that and try to prevent any chance of him suffering from mental health conditions in the future. I also really want him to develop a growth mindset and be a kind person (this is way more important to me than him being good at math or science). So if you're wondering if this book is right for your child, it's right for EVERY child, regardless of how their mental wellbeing is. In fact, everyone should do one of these books...

Every child should have this book. It has had such a positive impact on my 8 year old in just 5 days. Even her 15 year old brother has commented on the change! She is more determined, doesn't cry when she fails and has looked for positives in everything. As a teacher for 10 years, I have seen so many children struggle with self belief and give up when faced with difficult problems ... I can honestly say, this lovely little book is brilliant.

HappyMe Junior edition
The age range is 6 to 12 based around what my own children would enjoy and be able to do. Depending on your child’s reading and writing abilities they may need some guidance at the younger end of the scale. There is flexibility and I have had good feedback from parents buying it for 3 to 5 year olds as well as young teens (and adults).
The journal has been designed to have little writing and there is plenty of space for different handwriting styles or drawing. The paper quality can cope with a range of pencils and pens.
I highly recommend you fill out the journal with your child, even acting as scribe if your child is tired or dislikes writing, so that the emphasis can be on the conversation and reflection rather than the act of writing.
Available in yellow and a range of limited edition colours.
Translated into Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.
HappyMe Journal 12+ Edition
This one is designed with teens and young adults in mind. It follows the same daily journaling format but with a slightly more grown-up feel (ie without our family of characters). It also introduces a weekly structure and emphasis on developing healthy habits.
Popular with adults too. This journal is the perfect tool for you to join in with your child and share the journaling experience together.
Available in Cobalt Blue.
HappyMe Junior Edition
The journal has three months of daily journaling pages and a section at the front they can fill out at any time. Children are encouraged to fill out their journal every day but as the pages aren't dated it is possible to do it at your own rhythm and easy to keep going should you miss a day.
Three months is an ideal length as it's similar to a school term and so feels achievable for the children to establish their new daily journaling habit. When testing the kids preferred this length and a longer book would have been too bulky or heavy for small hands.
Continuation editions (which last for six months) will be coming out from mid 2020 but for now children are repeating the same journal on completion which is a nice way to reinforce the gratitude practice and growth mindset principles.
HappyMe Journal 12+ Edition
This journal also has three months of daily journaling pages and a section that can be filled out at any time at the front. It also introduces a weekly structure with pages to preview and review the week.
This journal has more space for free journaling on the daily pages.

Unfortunately once your parcel is in the postal system there is nothing we can do to speed things up!

Good question! :-)
The HappyMe Journal is the US edition of The HappySelf Journal and both are published by HappySelf Ltd a UK based company. The US is the only region we sell our journal as The HappyMe Journal.
This edition is exactly the same inside and has been edited to reflect US English spellings.
Funnily enough HappyMe was one of the original names we had picked for our journal back when we started work on it in 2017 so it's nice to have it out with this name after all!
